These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Linus app, related features, and any services we provide through the app. By downloading, accessing, registering for, or using Linus, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our policies as made available to you from time to time.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use Linus. If you use Linus on behalf of another person or an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms on their behalf, and in that case “you” also refers to that person or organization.
Linus may offer coins, credits, or other virtual items that can be purchased through Apple’s in-app purchase system. These items are licensed for use only within Linus and have no real-world monetary value.
All purchases of virtual currency or similar digital items are final to the fullest extent permitted by law. They are non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be redeemed for cash, gift cards, or any other outside value. We may change the pricing, availability, or balance rules associated with virtual items at any time, subject to applicable law and platform requirements.
You retain ownership of any content you upload, submit, store, or create in Linus, including text, notes, images, theme materials, and any other materials you provide (“User Content”). We do not claim ownership of your User Content.
By using Linus, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, and temporary license to host, process, store, display, transmit, and otherwise use your User Content only as needed to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the service. This license does not transfer ownership to us and ends when the content is deleted from our systems, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate operational purposes.
Linus is a lightweight date-tracking and countdown tool designed to help users organize important dates, anniversaries, milestones, reminders, and recurring events. The service supports creating and managing date entries with fields such as event name, target date, category, notes, reminder time, repeat rules, and visual style, with optional background images.
The app is built around a clear workflow for adding dates, reviewing countdown information, checking elapsed time for past events, viewing detail pages, browsing calendars and archives, and saving theme cards. Linus may also provide local notification reminders, history views, trend-style summaries, and other date-management utilities intended to support long-term personal use.
The service is not a social network, relationship app, or general AI content generation product. Its purpose is to provide a practical, easy-to-use date management experience with emphasis on reminders, review, and ongoing organization.
We may update or revise these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the app, legal requirements, platform policies, or our business practices. When we make changes, we may provide notice through the app, by posting the revised Terms, or by other reasonable means.
Your continued use of Linus after the effective date of any updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using the service.
Any summaries, suggestions, auto-generated text, reminders, date insights, timelines, or other outputs produced by Linus are provided for informational and convenience purposes only. They may be generated automatically based on user input, system logic, or internal processing.
We do not guarantee that generated or automated results will be complete, accurate, current, or suitable for any particular purpose. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any output before relying on it, and any reliance on such results is at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Linus, its owners, affiliates, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages. This includes, without limitation, loss of profits, loss of data, business interruption, or loss arising from missed reminders or inaccurate user-entered information.
Our total liability for any claim related to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to us for the service giving rise to the claim in the twelve months before the event or the minimum amount allowed by applicable law, if any.
Linus, including its software, interface, design elements, logos, trademarks, text, graphics, and compiled content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited rights expressly granted in these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited right to access and use the app for personal use. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, reverse engineer, or otherwise exploit any portion of the service except as expressly permitted by law or by us in writing.
You agree not to use Linus for any unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful purpose. Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to, uploading infringing or illegal content, harassing others, attempting unauthorized access, interfering with app functionality, or using the app in a way that violates any applicable law or regulation.
You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, scrape, automate, bot, or crawl the service except where such restrictions are prohibited by law. You also may not introduce malware, manipulate ratings or usage metrics, circumvent security measures, or use the app to distribute harmful, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable material.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Linus for your personal, non-commercial purposes. This license allows you to create, review, organize, and manage your own date-related content within the app.
You may use the service only in a manner consistent with these Terms and all applicable laws. Any use outside the scope of this license requires our prior written permission.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to Linus at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, created risk or liability for us or others, or used the service in a manner that may harm the app, its users, or third parties.
You may stop using Linus at any time. If your access is terminated, the rights granted to you under these Terms will end immediately, though certain provisions that by their nature should survive will remain in effect.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Linus, its owners, affiliates, licensors, employees, and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from or related to your use of the service.
This indemnity applies to claims resulting from your User Content, your violation of these Terms, your infringement or violation of any third party’s rights, or your misuse of the service. We reserve the right to assume exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification, and you agree to cooperate with our defense of such claims.
You are responsible for the content you submit, the accuracy of the information you enter, and the consequences of your use of the service. This includes dates, notes, reminder settings, categories, theme choices, images, and any other material you add to Linus.
You should keep your own backups of important information where appropriate. We are not responsible for loss, deletion, corruption, or failure of user-provided data except to the extent required by applicable law.
Linus is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and conditions of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the service will meet your requirements, be error-free, be secure, or produce any specific result. We also do not guarantee that reminders, notifications, countdown calculations, or other functions will always operate without interruption or error.
We may modify, suspend, discontinue, or limit any part of Linus at any time, with or without notice. The service may be unavailable from time to time due to maintenance, updates, technical failures, third-party issues, or circumstances beyond our control.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or always-available access to the app or any of its features. Some functions may depend on device settings, operating system behavior, network conditions, or platform restrictions.
You must be at least 17 years old to use Linus, and you must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction. By using the service, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
If you are using Linus on behalf of a minor or another person, you confirm that you are legally authorized to do so and that your use of the service complies with all applicable laws and supervision requirements.
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the service will be governed by and construed in accordance with the applicable laws in force in the relevant jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, to the extent such principles would require the application of another law.
Any mandatory consumer protection rights that apply in your location will remain unaffected to the extent required by law.
